dosWelcome…

to St John the Evangelist, Kingston upon Thames.

After almost 12 years here our Vicar, Rev’d Vicky Maunder, is leaving us to take up the post of Vicar of St James, West End in Southampton.  Vicky’s last service will be on Sunday 26th May at 10am at St John’s followed by refreshments.  Everyone is very warmly invited to come and say goodbye to her and her family and to wish them well.

St John’s seeks to be a:

  • loving
  • welcoming
  • inclusive
  • serving
  • questioning
  • outward looking church.

It serves the Spring Grove neighbourhood in the south of Kingston and the congregation is a mix of local people and lots of children.

Everyone is very welcome to the Sunday service at 10am.

On the third Sunday of every month there is also a Quiet Communion Service at 9am.

St John’s Vision Statement (2018)

Our vision is for St John’s to be at the heart of this community, a church rooted in the love of God and sharing the love of God with all.

To be:

An inclusive community welcoming and honouring all in Jesus name, however they may describe their faith or lack of it.

A compassionate, outward looking church, serving our local community, concerned with the needs of people and with care of the earth.

A church growing in faith, love and generosity, by nurturing our spiritual life, offering joyful services and supportive friendships.
