to St John the Evangelist, Kingston upon Thames.

Our Remembrance Sunday Communion Service is in the church at 10am this Sunday.  There will be children’s church as usual and an Act of Remembrance at 11am.

The names of the men on our WW1 war memorial will be read out during our Act of Remembrance.

There will be a display in church with details about each of the men.  Thank you to Carolynne Cotton who has spent considerable time researching each of them.

St John’s seeks to be a:

  • loving
  • welcoming
  • inclusive
  • serving
  • questioning
  • outward looking church.

It serves the Spring Grove neighbourhood in the south of Kingston and the congregation is a mix of local people and lots of children.

Everyone is very welcome to the Sunday service at 10am.

On the third Sunday of every month there is also a Quiet Communion Service at 9am.

St John’s Vision Statement (2018)

Our vision is for St John’s to be at the heart of this community, a church rooted in the love of God and sharing the love of God with all.

To be:

An inclusive community welcoming and honouring all in Jesus name, however they may describe their faith or lack of it.

A compassionate, outward looking church, serving our local community, concerned with the needs of people and with care of the earth.

A church growing in faith, love and generosity, by nurturing our spiritual life, offering joyful services and supportive friendships.
