St John the Evangelist is an Anglican Church in the heart of the Spring Grove neighbourhood in the South of Kingston. Everyone is very welcome to join our services, including the main Sunday service at 10am.
We are an inclusive and outward looking church with a congregation made up of people of all ages, including children. We are part of the community and want the community to feel part of St John’s.
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus, all normal Church services have been suspended and Church has to close.
Our worship of God and our care for each other continue but cannot be done in this building.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength . . . Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”
We will be doing all we can to stay connected via Facebook please click below for more information.
Normally in May, volunteers from churches in Kingston upon Thames would be collecting for Christian Aid door-to-door, at a Saturday market stall, and on Flag Day, but the world looks a great deal different at the moment…
This year, six members of Kingston’s clergy (including Mark) from Anglican, Methodist and United Reformed churches are each walking 300,000 steps while in lockdown; collectively an incredible 1.8 million steps over the month.
Please support them, and help us to raise close to the £15,000 we collected last year. This year, with Covid-19 there is more need than ever. If you would like to donate you can do so on the link below. Any donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated.
