COMMUNITY CAFÉ: THE COMMUNITY CAFÉ: The Café in our church will be open on Saturdays in September from 10.00-12.00noon offering everyone a space to sit, to meet with friends and enjoy some refreshments. There will be nespresso coffee, tea, cold drinks, cakes and biscuits to enjoy and the opportunity to relax in our beautiful building. All ages welcome. The concert will include a diverse cast of singers and musicians as well as puppetry and projections and is a co-production between Three Bridges Theatre and Teatro Elio Centrico. Our service begins at 10am at Kingston Methodist Church with Palm Sunday procession to St John’s remembering Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.
Thursday 29 March – MAUNDY THURSDAY
7.30pm Maundy Thursday Service with supper and footwashing.
Friday 30 March – GOOD FRIDAY
10.30am Good Friday Workshop followed by the all age Good Friday service at 12.
2.00pm Good Friday service of readings and reflections.
Sunday 1 April – EASTER DAY
10am Easter Day Communion with Easter Ceremonies and Easter egg hunt for the children

Book Fair and Church Café on Saturday 14 October from 10.00-2.30pm.
This will be the last time this year so don’t miss the chance to come and find some good books and enjoy homemade cakes and real coffee and tea served all day. If you have not been before you will be amazed at the large variety of good second-hand fiction and non-fiction and lovely books for children of all ages we have to offer, at very reasonable prices. And if you are a regular customer bring back the books you have read and choose again. So do come and have a browse or just sit with friends and chat. The proceeds from the sale of refreshments will be for OXYGEN which conducts focused, long term youth work in Kingston.
Kids Activity Days
These fun days will run on Wednesday 2nd August, Thursday 3rd August and Friday 4th August from 10am until 3pm in the church. There are 20 spaces available each day and places must be booked ahead.
We will be exploring the Lord’s Prayer through crafts, drama, baking, games and reflection time. Children aged 5 to 11 welcome. £8 for the day per child, £5 for siblings. Children will need to bring a packed lunch.

Summer Stay & Play Activity mornings for under 5’s at the church
Wednesdays 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th Aug from 10am – 12pm in the church.
All children aged under 5 years and there carers welcome. £3 per family.
Come and join in the fun, activities will include Arts, Crafts, Messy Play, Cooking, Sports and More.
The last session will include Hawaiian themed beach party in the garden. (Weather permitting)

ST JOHN’S CHURCH BIRTHDAY THIS SUNDAY – St John’s Dedication Stone was laid on 14th July 1871 – 146 years ago! 10am Communion Service when we will celebrate and give thanks for our church. We are hosting our Team Service so the congregations of All Saints and St John’s the Baptist will be joining us. Five of the Sisters, formally of Ham Convent, who generously gifted us their chapel furniture and organ, are also coming to the service. This will be a wonderful opportunity toexpress our thanks and appreciation to them. The service will be followed by a brief organ recital and a shared lunch.
NomadYoga teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in Kingston Upon Thames and offers a 4- class block St John’s Parish Hall.
