Through baptism we welcome people of all ages into the church family.
We baptise children either during our 10am Sunday service, though not during lent, or at a special baptism service at 12 noon on a Sunday. Adults can be baptised at St John’s, though it is normal for adults to be baptised and confirmed at the same time.
If you would like to have a baptism at St John’s please contact the vicar.
We baptise members of the congregation, their immediate families and those who live in the parish.

At confirmation, young people and adults make the promises that were made for them at their baptism, before the Bishop. The Bishop lays hands on the candidates, confirms their faith and invites them to receive the bread and wine of communion.
We run confirmation classes every year jointly with our sister church All Saints and Kingston Reformed Church. For more information please contact the vicar.

You can be married at St John’s if you are a member of the congregation, if you live in the parish or if you have a connection to the church.
