The church is open on Saturday mornings from 11am to 1pm offering everyone a space to sit, to meet with friends and enjoy refreshments. There is an area for children to play with toys and books. Everyone is welcome to pop in during the morning to enjoy hot drinks, biscuits, cakes and bacon sandwiches. You can come to chat and make friends or to spend a quiet moment in the high altar chapel where you can light a candle and leave a prayer request.
St John’s has been advised to close the Community Cafe to reduce the risk of people contracting COVID-19.
Our friendly and welcoming under 5s Toddler and Baby group meets in the church on Tuesdays from 9.45am until 11.15am. Come and have a coffee and a chat whilst your child finds time to create, explore, imagine and have a sing along with other parents and children. We have a large range of toys and activities and a separate baby area for pre-walkers to keep them safe. There is a small charge of £1.50 per family which helps cover refreshments.
