WE ARE HIRING
We are looking for a vibrant, innovative, and self-motivated person to become the parish administrator at St. John the Evangelist, Kingston.
The Parish administrator will work in partnership with the Clergy, Wardens and Church Council in the production of service sheets, newsletters, administration of DBS checks and other administration and office management tasks. In addition to this the administrator will be responsible for Church bookings, managing the Church diary and other seasonal Church related activities.
Ideally the person appointed will have good personal skills, be able to use a wide range of software and be familiar with operating office equipment.
Whilst the role demands a degree of flexibility, for the most part it will be for 4 hours a week, with 4 weeks paid leave per annum. The salary for the role is £208 per calendar month (based on £12/hour).
For further information, informal discussions or to request an application form please contact Rev. Mark Stafford (02085469542)
Closing date for applications is 11/1/21 Interviews will take place either in person or via Zoom on 15 /1/21.
Starting date is 18/1/21 to have a 2-week handover period with the current administrator.
Have you ever thought about becoming a sides person, reading the Bible in Church, leading the intercessions, helping to run one of the children’s groups, administering Holy Communion, making tea and coffee after the service or serving the Altar?
If you have then ……. Now is the time to act.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who are involved in creating such beautiful worship, but also encourage others to consider taking on one of these roles.
The more people we have involved in the worship, the better and we will each bring something different, something new and something fresh to the services, which is a good thing.
We are looking for volunteers to help with our Sunday worship, have a think about it and if you have any questions please come and have a chat.
We are also looking for leaders and/or helpers to ‘sit in’ with the groups. Work with children is an important part of the life of St. John’s and we would love to involve some other members of the congregation in all the fun! Please let Mark know if you can help.
Banquet records shows
We have had a great group of volunteers who have helped at the gigs we have held at Church previously, but we would like to build a rota for these events. If you would like to be included on the rota please let Sarah know. It’s a really fun way of supporting the church and getting the opportunity to listen to live music and see the Church in ‘gig’ mode!
